PRE-COMPETITION RITUALS... IS THAT A THING?
Are there pre-game/competiton rituals? There certainly is but everyone is different. What pre-game routines you do is significantly different from another athlete.
The easiest way to isolate the best routine is to analyze all the things you do before the best games you played. Ie, Before your typical practice games/sessions (Ones where you felt your best); what is it exactly that you did? Did you eat? What kind of food? How long did you eat before the session? What game clothing? Which racket? What other activities did you do? How much sleep did you get? How long were you awake for? Did you nap?
Once you start that self-awareness or analysis, you will be able to narrow down your best pre-game routine to insure your best performances. So if you are still new to tournaments in whichever discipline you're in, don't be nervous, start observing. It could be the last factor that could lead you to the victory you've been craving for.
